Stefano Ragusini, conductor
Stefano Ragusini was born in Pordenone in 1983. He began to study Music at the age of twelve and graduated with honour in Piano in 2005 from the Conservatory of Trieste. In 2006 he received his Bachelor Degree in Musicology from the University of Udine and in 2008 received his Master Degree in Solo Piano from the Conservatory of Padua. Stefano Ragusini finished his studies in Orchestral Conducting with highest honours at the Vienna Conservatory in June 2014 with Andreas Stoehr.
Stefano Ragusini currently works as opera and symphonic conductor, in Austria and Italy. In September 2018 Stefano Ragusini conducted the opera Cinderella of Alma Deutscher and an ensemble of the Vienna Philharmonic by the North Sea Artania Cruise.
From October to December 2018, Stefano Ragusini has been invited as Choir Director from the Opera de Bellas Artes in Mexico City fro the productions of Le nozze di Figaro and Fledermaus.
Stefano Ragusini works at the same time as Assistant to the Choir Director by the Vienna State Opera. The opera repertoire of Stefano Ragusini includes most of the famous masterworks of the Italian, French and German tradition as well as more than seventy opera choral parts. Conducted operas are Aida, L'elisir d'amore, Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Zauberfloete, Die Lustigen Weiber von Windsor, der Wildschuetz, La vie parisienne, La serva padrona.
In 2014 Stefano Ragusini worked as Assistant Conductor on a production of Manfred Troyan's Orest by the Neue Oper Wien.
Stefano Ragusini worked with the following orchestras: Bratislava Symphony Orchestra; State Philharmonic Plovdiv; Orquesta de camara de Catalunya; Orquesta sinfonica Giovane Filarmonica del Veneto; Orchestra d'archi Athanor; Orchestra d'archi da camera Romana; Konservatorium Wien Orchester; Orchestra del Conservatorio statale di Parova.
