Stefano Ragusini, conductor



Stefano Ragusini was born in Pordenone in 1983. He began to study Music at the age of twelve and graduated with honors in Piano in 2005 from the Conservatory of Trieste. In 2006 he received his Bachelor Degree in Musicology from the University of Udine and received his Master Degree in Solo Piano from the Conservatory of Padua in 2008.

Stefano Ragusini finished his studies in Orchestral Conducting with highest honors at the Vienna Conservatory in June 2014 with Andreas Stoehr (previously with Georg Mark).


Stefano Ragusini currently works as Assistant of the choir conductor by the Vienna State Opera since 2015 as well as an opera and symphonic conductor, in Italy and abroad. During the last three years he has conducted Aida, L'elisir d'amore, Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro, Zauberflöte, Wildschütz, La vie parisienne, La serva padrona.

In 2014 Stefano Ragusini has worked as conductor assistant by the Neue Oper Wien on a production of Manfred Trojan's Orest.

Stefano Ragusini has studied Conducting with the following professors: Andreas Stoehr, Georg Mark, Vladimir Fedoseyev, Donato Renzetti, Johannes Schlaefli and Piano with Sophie Rachlin, Marian Mika, Filippo Gamba, Aldo Orvieto, Siavush Gadjiev. Musicological studies with Roberto Calabretto, Angelo Orcalli and Mauro Casadei Turroni Monti.
